The Pioneering Care Partnership is inviting people to come along and take part in a free family fun festival packed with great activities for all ages. The event, the Community Wellness Festival, will take place on Saturday, 26th July, from 10am to 2pm at the Pioneering Care Centre, Carers’ Way, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 4SF.
There will be live music, arts and crafts, therapy tasters and fitness information, as well as a peddle-powered cinema. Meanwhile, for the more adventuruous, there are obstacle courses and a samba drumming workshop.
Children and young people are also invited to play their part in creating two felt banners depicting music from the ages, which will be displayed in the Mall Coffee Shop conservatory. The first banner will be created at the Wellness Festival between 10am and 1pm, and the second will be made the following Sunday, 2nd August, between 10am and 1pm. Organisers ask those interested to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
A spokesperson for the Pioneering Care Partnership said, “For 16 years PCP has proudly delivered a full range of exciting and interesting activities to help people get fit, learn a new skill, discover a new hobby or improve their confidence and self-esteem. There will be a full programme of activities to discover at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe and it’s all free for one day only.”
