The clubhouse and grounds at Crook Town AFC are set to receive a number of improvements with new funding.
The football club will see security and access improved with new lighting and a disabled access toilet, along with new air conditioning for the clubhouse.
Funding has been provided by Cllr Eddie Murphy and the Three Towns Partnership.
“The local football club is a focal point in the community,” said Maureen Stanton, chair of the Three Towns Partnership.
“The work will make a big difference in improving the environment at the club, as well as ensuring legislation regarding disabled access is complied with.”
External lighting will be fitted at the ground, including turnstiles.
It is hoped the work will improve safety, security, make matches more accessible with improved access for disabled people and see the clubhouse become more comfortable.
