Shildon AFC will take on Hamilton Academical of the Scottish Premier League at Dean Street this weekend in what is being billed as a Community Friendly.Instead of paying the usual amount for tickets, fans are instead being asked to pay what they can afford. Club officials are hoping to attract a large crowd by making the game affordable for all.
A club spokesperson said, “If all you can afford is 50 pence, you will still be able to gain entry to this match against prestigious opposition. We would like as many people in the community as possible to come along to Dean Street and enjoy this match against a side playing at the very top level in Scotland. It is not often games like this come along and we would like as many people in the community as possible to have the opportunity to see this match”.
The friendly will be held at Shildon’s Dean Street ground on Saturday, 26th July. The game kicks off at 1pm.
